Bring the Kids to the Holiday Family Opera Performance of “The Lion, the Unicorn, and Me” From December 14 – 16

For a holiday performance that is as magical for kids as it is impressive for adults, don’t miss The Lion, The Unicorn, and Me at the Washington National Opera. This performance is based on the award-winning children’s book of the same name, and tells the story of the first Christmas from the perspective of a donkey.
The unlikely hero has nothing to offer Mary and Joseph but his strong back, but soon discovers that miracles can happen when you believe in yourself. The Lion, The Unicorn, and Me first premiered on stage in 2013 as an opera, and has since become a popular yearly event for the holiday season. Be sure to get your tickets soon before they sell out. The show runs Friday, December 14 through Sunday, December 16 only, with an evening performance on Friday, and matinee and evening performances on the weekend. The Saturday matinee performance is sensory friendly. Preview the show and a behind the scenes glimpse of the puppetry and costumes at the Kennedy Center website.
