dLeña Serves Modern Mexican Fare Near Allegro
If you’re looking for some new flavors in your weekly dinner rotation this week, try dLeña. This newly opened modern Mexican spot from Chef Richard Sandoval is bringing wood-fired, smoky flavors to your favorite Mexican fare. It’s a concept unlike any other!
To start, try the Ostiones ala Leña, or grilled oysters, topped with chipotle mignonette and smoked bacon relish, or the pork belly with smoky chipotle glaze and red pipian sauce with pickled veggies.If you want the restaurant specialty for your main, you have to order one of the three entrees cooked atop their wood-burning grill. There’s a tomahawk steak which is tequila flambeed tableside and drizzled with bone marrow butter if you’re looking to go all out, or a grilled half chicken or dry-aged boneless rib-eye for something a little less over the top.
